Mary Ann's Story

I have lived in south Minneapolis for over 30 years. After high school, I attended the U of M and earned a journalism degree. I had one job with a publishing company for a few years, then have been self-employed ever since. I work as a production manager and writer/editor in the advertising and publishing arenas. I like my work, and have enjoyed a variety of interesting projects (and ample time off!).
I am single, with no kids, and have a very happy life (perhaps the first part of the sentence causes the second :-) !!) I have traveled around the world, but live to visit my family's remote cabin in fa...Expand for more
r northern Minnesota, where I am happy to be alone with the wilderness. I enjoy gardening, birding and all manner of outdoor activities.
In the city, I am active in the community, where I started a neighborhood newspaper, and helped to start a gardening co-op retail business.
My sister Barbara (1973) lives in Minneapolis. (she spent 10 years in NYC in the '80s). She lived in a duplex with her daughter, and our mother upstairs, until Mom died in 2017 at 98 yo!.My brother David (1968) died in 2000. My sister Kathleen (1970) became a minister and moved to Iowa from southern Minnesota where she had lived and raised four children for many years. That's the family report.
